Today for dinner I had a personal sized Pizza, made healthier because its on whole wheat pita, and has less fat and calories, and probably less sodium than most pizza. The exact ingredients can be found HERE.
Okay, last night God gave us a wonderful display of majesty at sunset, first thing this morning there was an encore performance. I know this is supposed to be one photo a day, but how can I pick the best one?
I took a lot of photos today while I was a passenger in a car. The sky was too beautiful not to photograph, but as you can see, being in motion while taking the photos caused some of them to be out of focus. Enjoy these photos.
I am a Sunday School teacher, and for about two years my class has been crammed into this:
That is the Church kitchen, and my class has been crammed into it for two years, and before that we had an even smaller room. The kitchen was worse though because people would walk through to get things in the middle of the teaching, and the kids would try to play with the stove or get food from the fridge. So when I show this next set of photos, you should understand why I consider them to be truly beautiful.
Our portable, purchased about two years ago, is FINALLY ready for use! Here is the outside:
And here is the inside, showing first the big room for Children's Worship:
Next, the two smaller classrooms off of the big room:
Right now my class is the only class using the portable once children's worship is finished, so we are enjoying the use of the big room, its great to finally have space to move around.
We went over to my mother-in-laws house today, largely to see my nephew Mathew who is in the Navy, and is home on leave from Hawaii. The only problem was that for the first hour or so that we were there, this is all we saw of him:
Now, after I snapped that picture, and told him why, he took the hint. So I was also able to snap these photos:
This first one is him with my oldest daughter Eliana.
This next one is him playing with my two youngest kids.
I love my life homeschooling my children and creating art, crafts, and photographs that reflect the beauty of God's creation and His grace toward humankind. I have always enjoyed drawing in pencil, pastels, oil pastels, and ink, but have just recently begun to experiment with paints and I am growing to love it above all other media.
Though I enjoy all arts, crafts, and photography, and ardently seek to capture and portray the beauty surrounding and within me, I recognize that every work is simply a dim reflection of the true thing, a dim reflection of God's creative powers, hence the name of my shop and gallery, "Ardent Reflections".
